SCIENCE FICTION MUSEUM and HALL OF FAME / Seattle, WA
Seattle’s Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame features specially produced immersive displays by GPG.
Applying 100% original animated high-definition imagery, ‘Spacedock’ and ‘Cities of Tomorrow’ exhibits enable visitors to see 20 classic spaceships and three visions of the future: a 1950’s Atomic City, ‘Blade Runner’s’ Los Angeles, and the real world of ‘The Matrix.’ The projected environments and spacecraft are photo-realistic – crafted entirely at the GPG studios.
‘Amazing Places’ allows visitors to select a science fiction planet by touching an interactive screen. Once selected, the planet forms from “cosmic gases” in 3D space, presenting a walk-around, look-over and under presentation of the planet as it slowly rotates in real time. A short documentary within the kiosk presents the planet’s fictional history.
GPG created other special effects for the museum, including a 3D animated floating ring system around a life-sized Maria figurine from the classic motion picture ‘Metropolis.’ Additionally, we created custom multi-channel sound effects and fiber optic star fields for nearby galleries.
